Weekend Adventures - Gull Meadow Farms

Glorious autumn weather and apple picking are perfect together.
Sunday we headed down to Gull Meadow Farms, for Miss Natalie's first birthday!
We had a awesome time apple picking and watching our niece, nephew, and their friends run around Pumpkin Lane.  I'd have never been apple picking before, but soon learned that I shouldn't eat every good apple I found! Truly think we should make this a yearly tradition.

So now that we have a 1/2 bushel of apples...what to do with them?
Zach think's he'll be able to eat them all right away... I told him I'll start looking for some recipes.
I want to try something other than the ordinary apple pie or crisp. Suggestions?

Hope your week is going well! I've been busy with a few big projects here. I am really excited to share with you all some of my plans and thoughts that I've been throwing around my head for some time.
Stay tune!

  4. Apple Nachos - Core unpeeled apple and slice very thin - spread out on large platter and drizzle with caramel & sprinkle with chopped nuts, chocolate, marshmallows or whatever your little heart full of daisies wants.

  6. That looks like so much fun! You can try grating an apple into pancake batter with lots of cinnamon - serve with yoghurt & honey for a rustic pancake breakfast!
