I stumbled across your blog while looking up info about Camp Blodgett weddings. My fiance (whose from Monterey, CA...I love the pictures of Big Sur) and I are getting married at Camp Blodgett next June. We are working on our guest list right now and it's getting longer and longer. Is the maximum capacity really 160? Or can we fit some people on the deck? How many people really fit comfortably? Thanks for your help!
Hi Leslie! Congrats! You are going to LOVE camp blodgett, our wedding was so gorgeous out there! I would HIGHLY recommend not going over the 160 cap. I'm pretty sure you could fit 160 snugly inside and if you need more room outside on the deck is a good option...but if you are doing your ceremony there on the deck like we did, you'd be pressed getting that many chairs on the deck. We had around 125 and we felt it was the perfect number. We were able to have space inside to fit very comfortablely with the guest tables, bridal table, & dj. We had our bartender on the deck for space. Another way you can have more room is if you are utilizing the "extra" small room off of the big room. We just used that for dessert, appetizer, gift card table, so no guest tables were put in there. I'll be putting some wedding photos on the blog soon, so feel free to check those out!! And please feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions during your wedding planning months! I'd be more than happy to help you out. :) -Kate
I shared your link on my blog because I have enjoyed reading your blog - do not feel obligated to participate in the Liebster - I did for more public access to my blog as I am getting started, otherwise just wanted to give your blog a shout out!
